Losing Weight – The Journey
Well, I’m certainly not going to tell you to do something that I’m not willing to do. Since I’ve been talking about eating better, exercising, and losing weight – I’m going to go public with my own journey towards weight loss.
I am a horrible stress eater. In the past year (June 2008- July 2009) due to stress – I’ve gained about 25 pounds. It’s time to take that off (and then some.)
To help me with that quest – after looking at all the options, as well as my past weight-loss history – I’ve decided to go primarily with Weight Watchers®.
My workplace has a Weight Watchers® At Work program, and I will be utilizing the online tools as well. I’ve also discovered that Weight Watchers®
is a great way to connect with co-workers. I’ve started walking with several co-workers during breaks at work, and even attend the meetings with them.
I attended my first courtesy meeting on the 25th and had a courtesy weigh in at 192.2 (which was better than the 197 that I saw on my home scale earlier this month). I will keep you posted on what my first “official” weigh in will be on September 1st.
So far this week, I’ve exercised by walking for 15 minutes two times a day on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I will keep you posted on my progress, what I eat, what I go AWOL on, and all the nitty gritty. Feel free to share back! What are your weight loss goals?
